The scope of use of amino acid feed

Publish Time: 2019-09-02     Origin: Site

Amino acid feed is a widely used feed that is used in poultry, livestock, fish, etc. And it is so widely used because there are many different kinds of the feeds. These diverse amino acid feeds play a variety of roles in our pastures, making our pastures thriving. This article will provide information on the use of the feeds in all livestock animals.

The main points are as follows:

  • Which amino acid feed additives are included

  • Application of these amino acid feed additives

  • Summary

1. Which amino acid feed additives are included

The base acid feed additive comprises industrial synthetic methionine, lysine, tryptophan, threonine and the like, and is used as a feed additive product in the feed industry. Amino acid feed additives are generally essential amino acids.

Amino acid additives are used to supplement the essential amino acids in the feed, so it must be added according to the specific background of the feed, according to the different types of animals, different physiological conditions and production levels, in order to avoid the harm of amino acid imbalance caused by improper addition. .

2. Application of these amino acid feed additives

  • Lysine feed additive

It can improve the utilization of protein and meat quality in animals. The lysine content in bean cake, fish meal and flesh powder is rich. If used to mix feed, it generally does not feel lysine deficiency. Corn, cottonseed cake, and sesame oil cake are used as feed. The protein utilization rate is low. When feeding pigs, chickens, etc., it is necessary to add proper amount of lysine, usually 0.2% to 0.3% in barley and corn. Lysine increases the protein utilization rate from 50% to 70% to 80%. About 90% or more of lysine is produced by fermentation of molasses.

Lysine is easily combined with browning of reducing substances contained in carbohydrates in plant feeds. This browning increases with temperature, and its combination is easily decomposed by enzyme decomposition. Therefore, the addition of lysine should consider the feed background, should be used as soon as possible after the addition, should be stored in the dark, dry, cool, low temperature environment before use.

  • Methionine feed additive

Food and feed fortifiers have the effect of improving the quality of lean meat, increasing egg production rate and milk production, and the dosage is about 0.05% to 0.30% of the feed amount. The test results showed that adding 0.5 kg of methionine to the compound feed was equivalent to adding 25 kg of fish meal.

  • Tryptophan feed additive

It can participate in the renewal of plasma proteins, promote the action of riboflavin, and contribute to the synthesis of niacin and heme. When animals and poultry lack tryptophan, growth stagnates, weight loss, and testicular atrophy in male animals. Because of the high production cost and poor economic efficiency, tryptophan has an annual output of only several hundred tons. Mainly used as an artificial milk additive for piglets, the addition amount is 0.02% to 0.05%; a small part is used for the diet of sows and laying hens.

  • Threonine feed additive

Threonine is listed as four major feed additives together with lysine, methionine and tryptophan. It is mainly used for juvenile piglets, breeding pigs, poultry, prawns and squid. Threonine is an important element in livestock and poultry feed. Adding threonine to livestock and poultry feed can improve the biological value of feed protein, balance various amino acids, promote protein deposition, reduce animal ammonia excretion, and reduce environmental pollution. Improve feeding conditions.

Threonine is the first limiting amino acid in gluten. In the membrane protein, the hydroxyl group of threonine can bind to the oligosaccharide chain and play an important role in protecting cell membrane. In addition, threonine is metabolized to form glycine, providing one carbon unit.

3. Summary

In addition to the amino acid feed listed here, there are many other amino acid feed additives, such as leucine and isoleucine, which also play an irreplaceable role in providing nutrition for our livestock and helping them to thrive.
